Rated by TripAdvisor as one of the top 10 zoos in the U.S., this is zoo where the wild is free. Sanctuary for endangered, rare and threatened animals including tigers, crocodiles and the infamous Komodo Dragon, plus special animal education programs geared for children of all ages.

One of the zoo's exhibits is Amazon & Beyond, with over 27 acres of lush gardens with giant river otters, anacondas, and other fascinating creatures of the tropics. The tropical Cloud Forest is home to howler monkeys, hummingbirds, snakes and jaguars. Make sure to visit the limestone bat cave, where you can experience over 100 fruit bats flying over your heads.

The Miami Metrozoo is located in South Miami, an easy drive on the Florida's Turnpike, just about a half an hour from our hotel.
